General Concrete Contractor
A company who has demonstrated compliance with the certification requirements and is able to document successful completion of at least fifteen cast-in-place concrete projects in the past five years. Company personnel shall have passed the ASCC examination on the ACI/ASCC Manual: “The Contractor’s Guide to Quality Concrete Construction.”
Decorative Concrete Contractor
A company who has demonstrated compliance with the certification requirements and is able to document successful completion of at least fifteen decorative concrete projects in the past five years. Company personnel shall have passed the ASCC examination on ACI/ASCC 310 “Guide to Decorative Concrete.”
Concrete Polishing Contractor
A company who has demonstrated compliance with the certification requirements and is able to document successful completion of at least fifteen concrete polishing projects in the past five years. Company personnel shall have passed the ASCC examination on ACI/ASCC 310 “Specification for Polished Concrete Slab Finishes.”
Specialty Expertise Endorsements
Two specialty expertise endorsements are available for Horizontal Construction (Slabs-on-Ground), and Vertical Construction (Suspended Slabs). The endorsements recognize the type of specialty area of concrete construction in which the company has additional expertise.
Craft Worker Certification
In addition to the company certification and personnel specialty expertise, the company must employ craft workers with the following individual certifications:
Documentation Requirements for All Company Certifications - Phase I and II
Site Audit - Phase III
The purpose of the site audit is to review actual documentation, observe and measure compliance with the program and the company’s stated procedures, policies and objectives. Documentation on at least two recent projects from the list of submittals for of the application should be available for the audit team to review. Documents will be made available for review by the audit team for inspection in order to verify compliance. The audit team personnel are not permitted to copy or remove any documents from the applicant’s premises without their permission. The audit team will consist of a representative of the TCA and a non-competing contractor peer reviewer. The name of the peer reviewer will be made known prior to scheduling the audit to eliminate the potential for conflict of interest.
